Southern California PGA Junior Tour (SCPGA Jr. Tour)

The SCPGA Jr. Tour is a place where junior golfers of all playing abilities from ages 5 to 18 can come together and participate in organized competitive golf tournaments.  We encourage all students to actively participate in SCPGA Jr. Tour.  To find out more, please click SCPGA Jr. TOUR
Junior Golf Program
Green (Developmental) 

Introduction to the game of golf.   We will cover such aspects as rules, etiquette, putting, chipping, pitching and full swing. Emphasis of this level is on introducing the over-all game of golf. All juniors who completes this level will advance to Red Level.

 

Red (Mechanics)

Designed for students who have been exposed to the game of golf and have received some type of instruction prior or who have moved up from Green Level. Emphasis of this level will be on improving the mechanics and fundamentals of full swing and short game. Students must pass our short game and rules/etiquette test to advance to Blue Level.

 

Blue (Players) 

Designed for students that have passed our Red Level short game and rules/etiquette test. Emphasis of this level is becoming golf course ready, importance of practice, pre-shot routines and pace of play.  Students begin playing on the golf course once a month.  3 hole playing test to advance to Gold Level.

 

Gold (Tournament) 

Majority of time will be spent both at the range and on the golf course, playing shots and learning how to score. The emphasis on this level is to prepare the Junior for tournament play. Learning course management, physical fitness, and mental preparation. 9 hole ability test and family interview to qualify for Black Level

 

Black (Competition)

Designed for players playing competitive golf - (SCPGA, AJGA, High School Team, Toyota Tour Cup Series)  Each student's plan is customized to fit his/her needs on a one on one private lessons settings.  On course playing lessons and commitment to practice is mandatory.  At this level, the emphasis is on course management, shot selection, mental golf, advanced short game, and tournament golf preparations.
